Tomato Tumble is a fun game designed to help develop children’s understanding of number. It has been devised by Dr Jonathan Reed, Child Neuropsychologist, based on his clinical practice and the latest research into math development. Tomato Tumble teaches the numbers from 1 to 20. The game teaches how numerals correspond with the number of objects, the concept of number representing quantity and recognizing the numbers of objects in a set (numerosities). These are all important stages in math development. The game is designed to help all children but it contains certain features to help children who find learning difficult, particularly with dyscalculia.

The game is set in a greenhouse full of tomatoes. A fun character, Belinda Bee, will ask your child basic number questions and they have to click on the tomato showing the right answer. When the child gets the answer right they are rewarded with the tomato bursting and praise from Belinda. If they miss an answer, Belinda shows them the correct one - a no error approach that will help to maintain their motivation and keep learning fun.

At the end of each stage your child will be rewarded with a flower seed - and if they get all the answers right in a stage they can win special seeds. When the game finishes, the seeds are planted into a virtual garden and your child can watch their learning garden grow. For extra encouragement, the more they play the game the more flowers will grow for them.

Tomato Tumble also contains a report feature, which allows learning progress to be monitored.
